DESCRIPTION:In celebration of Earth Day\, ABNY convened a panel to discuss environmental issues in New York. Our esteemed panelists addressed climate change and how it can relate to economic recovery\, as well as pathways to green jobs. The discussion kicked off with introductory remarks by Frances Resheske\, Senior Vice President\, Corporate Affairs\, Con Edison. Julie Tighe\, President\, New York League of Conservation Voters (NYLCV) and NYLCV Education Fund (NYLCVEF)\, moderated the panel of government and industry leaders: Jainey K. Bavishi\, Director\, NYC Mayor’s Office of Resiliency; Adrienne Downey\, Principal Engineer\, Offshore Wind\, New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA); Melanie Littlejohn\, Vice President\, Customer & Community Management\, National Grid; and Cortney Koenig Worrall\, President & CEO\, Waterfront Alliance.
