She has developed and deployed approx. 2\,000 MW of utility and distributed scale renewable energy projects including solar PV\, land-based wind\, and battery energy storage systems. In her current role as the Vice President\, Renewable Project Development\, Vennela leads NYPA’s Renewables team to successfully develop business plans to advance new initiatives and strategies\, and execute renewable energy and storage projects. Vennela serves as a Member on the Board of Sustainable Westchester\, a non-profit consortium of local governments within Westchester County\, NY\, that facilitates effective collaboration on sustainability and clean energy initiatives\, and on the Planning Board for the City of White Plains\, NY. She holds a Masters in Electrical Engineering from Missouri University of Science & Technology and is a registered P.E. in the states of Florida\, Missouri\, and New York.
