DESCRIPTION:We are excited to invite you to a tour of Eastern Generation’s Astoria Generating Station on Friday\, June 10\, from 9-10:30 a.m. Liam Baker\, Vice President\, Regulatory Affairs\, and Matt Schwall\, Director\, Regulatory Affairs\, will lead the tour of the 959 MW fuel oil and natural gas plant consisting of five generating units. The plant is part of a larger complex that is comprised of approximately 300 acres\, most of which is used for various utility purposes including power generation\, indoor storage\, oil storage\, liquefied natural gas storage\, vehicle storage and servicing\, and office space.If you are interested\, please sign up here by close of business Tuesday\, June 7. Please note\, space is limited and attendees will be selected at random. SUMMARY:YP Associates Tour: Con Edison: East 13th St. Electric Substation
DESCRIPTION:In recognition of the 10th anniversary of Superstorm Sandy\, we invite you to tour the Con Edison East 13th Street Substation. The tour will take place on Monday\, October 17 at 11:00 a.m. led by Substation General Manager\, Aisha Ahmad. \nThe tour will showcase storm-hardening improvements at the East 13th St. Electric Substation in Manhattan that was damaged on the night of October 29\, 2012. ABNY YPs will meet Con Edison’s Substation General Manager and learn how pioneering investments and planning for climate change has prevented power outages over the past 10 years.
