Ryan: \nPaul S. Ryan has served as Executive Director of the New York City Campaign Finance Board since February 2024. Previously Paul was Deputy Executive Director of the Funders’ Committee for Civic Participation. He is nationally recognized as a leading voice in campaign finance and democratic participation. He has also served as Vice President for Policy and Litigation for Common Cause and as Deputy Executive Director of the Campaign Legal Center.  Through his many professional experiences\, Paul has proven himself a capable manager and organizational leader. He is a graduate of UCLA Law School and the University of Montana.

He is responsible for better\, faster\, and cheaper delivery of the MTA’s capital program through innovative management of construction for subways\, buses\, commuter railroads\, bridges\, and tunnels. Through C&D\, he oversees the full capital delivery process from project planning and packaging through procurement\, delivery and close-out. Under his leadership the agency has shown results bringing the system to a state of good repair and making it more resilient and accessible for millions of daily riders while containing costs and leveraging public-private partnerships. \nPrior to joining the MTA\, Mr. Torres-Springer served as Commissioner of New York City’s Department of Design and Construction (DDC)\, the agency responsible for delivering infrastructure and facilities across New York City government\, where he led development and implementation of DDC’s comprehensive plan to streamline capital project delivery\, and had a leading role in several programs related to the pandemic\, New York City’s adaptation to climate change\, and reform of the criminal justice system. Prior to DDC\, he led a national planning practice working on urban infrastructure\, open space\, and citywide strategic plans for inclusive growth and sustainability.

DESCRIPTION:Join ABNY Young Professionals for a tour of the National September 11 Memorial & Museum on Thursday\, April 24th 5:30 p.m. – 7 p.m. \nThe 9/11 Memorial & Museum is the country’s principal institution concerned with exploring 9/11\, documenting its impact\, and examining its continuing significance. This indoor/outdoor tour examines what happened on 9/11; explores the history\, rebuilding\, and behind-the-scenes design of the site; and highlights the stories of those affected by the attacks. \nIn partnership with the Memorial & Museum’s Visionary Network for young professionals\, gain a deeper understanding of 9/11\, the lead-up to the attacks\, and their continuing global significance in this essential tour of the Museum’s key spaces. \nIf you are interested in joining the tour\, please sign up by 12:00 p.m. on Monday\, April 14.
