DESCRIPTION:Join ABNY Young Professionals for a tour of NY1 followed by a chat with Errol Louis\, journalist\, and political anchor at NY1\, on Friday\, February 13 at 11:30a.  \nThe visit will include a guided tour of the NY1 studios\, offering an inside look at the production process—from the control room to the studio where shows are taped throughout the day. Attendees will learn how NY1 gathers and produces news\, as well as the mission that drives its coverage\, with a particular focus on politics\, including the mayoral race and the upcoming gubernatorial race. \nThe tour will also provide access to the assignment desk and video-gathering operations\, giving participants a behind-the-scenes view of how stories are coordinated and brought to air. The visit will conclude with an opportunity to speak with Errol and engage in a Q&A session with the group. \nIf you are interested\, please register by 12:00p on January 30 The tour will begin promptly at 11:30a. DESCRIPTION:The ABNY Foundation is excited to announce it’s new World Cup For All Community Grant Program ahead of this summer when the New York City region will host the world’s most watched sporting event\, the FIFA World Cup. \nNon-profits based in New York City who are interested in applying to the grant are invited to attend a virtual information session on Thursday\, February 26\, 9:30a-10:30a via Zoom. Pre-registration is required. \nREGISTER HERE \n\n\nAbout the World Cup For All Community Grant Program \nThis summer\, the New York City region will host the world’s most watched sporting event\, the FIFA World Cup\, and MetLife Stadium will host the tournament’s final match on July 19. The region is expected to welcome more than a million visitors from around the world\, with the tournament generating an estimated $3 billion in economic impact.  \nThe ABNY Foundation is launching the World Cup For All Community Grant Program to ensure residents and communities across the five boroughs can experience the excitement and local benefits of the tournament\, even if they are not attending a match in person.  \nThrough this program\, the ABNY Foundation will award grants between $5\,000 and $15\,000 to community-based nonprofit organizations to support:  \n\nFree or low-cost\, welcoming\, and community-centered fan engagement activities tied to the FIFA World Cup 2026\, and/or;\nFree or low-cost\, enriching youth programming inspired by the FIFA World Cup 2026.\n\nLearn more and access the grant application here.
