ABNY Women was established in 2016 to provide a forum for civically engaged women across industry sectors to come together to share and to address the pressing issues affecting women in the New York City workplace. ABNY Board Member Samantha Rudin Earls chairs ABNY Women and has overseen the growth and development of the network since its inception.
ABNY Women provides a platform for women to explore, discuss, and foster change in the workplace and beyond through a series of events and talks by female leaders. The network offers unique programming to spark thoughtful conversation and encourage discourse with the goal of forging a better future together.
Currently, New Yorkers are grappling with the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, economic and fiscal crises, racial inequities and socioeconomic unrest, and loss of faith in the leadership within the City. Amid these challenges, ABNY Women has committed to uplifting all women in New York City.
In spring 2021, the leadership of ABNY Women sought to activate the membership and plan for the future of the community. As a result, the ABNY Women Strategic Plan was drafted to provide a roadmap for building valuable, unique programming for the group and recruiting to the network.
