Join us on Wednesday, September 27 for an ABNYTalks with four leaders from NYC’s workforce and immigration service sectors. With the recent influx of asylum seekers, the city is increasing resources to meet the demands of its newest New Yorkers. Meeting housing, education and social service needs has been a challenge but what does this mean for economic integration and pathways for contributions towards the city’s economic viability? Is the increased demand for jobs in line with current workforce development offerings and what does this mean for the city’s overall economic development? This panel of experts will explore ways in which these challenges are – and are not – being addressed.
