Please join us on Thursday, September 21 at 6:00 p.m. for a What’s On Tap? with Center for an Urban Future’s Executive Director Jonathan Bowles, he will delve into one of the greatest untapped opportunities to create a more equitable economy in New York City: by expanding skills based hiring, the practice in which employers eliminate the degree requirement for some jobs and hire instead based on skills.

Under his guidance, the Center has solidified its reputation as an influential institution, producing pivotal reports that resonate with policymakers, business leaders, and nonprofit practitioners. Through his strategic insights, Mr. Bowles has shaped strategies for equitable urban development, including groundbreaking research into the transformative contributions of immigrant entrepreneurs, the burgeoning landscape of New York City’s innovation economy, and effective approaches for bolstering the middle class.
