ABOUT ABNY YOUNG PROFESSIONALS
The ABNY YP network hosts events that provide an opportunities for young professionals to expand their professional contact bases and fosters educational and civic engagement opportunities to our next generation of leaders. These events are free of charge and programming varies from insider tours, to discussions with experts and industry leaders.
Since its launch in 2011, our group has grown to over 4,000 professionals from almost every sector across NYC.

Become a Young Professional (YP) ASSOCIATE
ABNY YP Associates is a membership tier within the ABNY Young Professionals (YP) program, designed to provide an additional level of engagement for members of the ABNY YP Network and create increased buy-in into the ABNY organization.
This membership tier is open to those between 21-40 years old and affords increased access to ABNY events and the ABNY network, including ticket giveaways for galas, Power Breakfasts, and other special events to be reserved for YP Associates; and early access to some exclusive YP events, such as ABNY Tours and Boardroom Breakfasts.
YP Associates are required to:
- Be between 21 and 40 years of age
- Complete an application
- Pay an annual membership fee of $35 per year*
- Attend at least two ABNY/ABNY YP events per calendar year; and
- Volunteer for at least 1 ABNY event per calendar year. (Please note, volunteering will count toward total required event attendance.)
* Young Professionals who work for ABNY Member Organizations are eligible for complimentary YP Associate membership. A YP Associate application must still be completed in order to enroll.
- Invitations to non-exclusive ABNY Young Professional events
- Receive priority access to non-exclusive events when space is limited
- Invitations to exclusive events open only to YP Associates
- Access to ticket giveaways via lottery to ticketed ABNY Member events, including ABNY Power Breakfasts and the Spirit of ABNY Awards
- Eligibility to be featured as a YP Spotlight of the Month in the ABNY YP newsletter and on the ABNY social media channels
- Eligibility to serve on the ABNY Young Professionals Steering Committee
Annual dues for YP Associates membership are $35.00.
Dues are billed upon acceptance of your application, are valid through the current calendar year, with renewal notices sent at the beginning of each calendar year.
Young Professionals who work for ABNY Member Organizations are eligible for complimentary YP Associate membership. A YP Associate application must still be completed in order to enroll.

What’s On Tap? events bring together YPs with public officials in an informal setting. YPs form connections with City and State leaders and learn more about how these individuals are impacting New York.
Boardroom Breakfasts are an opportunity for civic leaders across the nonprofit, government, and private sectors to speak to YPs in an intimate setting about who they are, what they do, and their visions for New York City.
Policy Briefs outline New York City issues and current events. Previous topics include Changes to NYC Rent Regulations, Climate Change Litigation, and Ranked Choice Voting.
Tours provide YPs with access to exclusive spaces and projects across New York, such as Governors Island and the New York Federal Reserve Museum and Gold Vault.
ABNY Volunteers facilitates volunteering opportunities for YPs to give back to their city.
