Council Member Rivera represents the 2nd Council District which includes the neighborhoods of the East Village, Flatiron, Gramercy Park, Rose Hill, Kips Bay, Murray Hill, and the Lower East Side. She will discuss her experiences in government and how she is implementing her new generation vision for New York City.
Council Member Rivera represents her district and all New Yorkers as the Chair of the New York City Council Committee on Criminal Justice and serves on the Land Use, Standards and Ethics, Transportation and Infrastructure, Hospitals, and COVID Recovery and Resiliency Committees. She is a member of the Black, Latino, and Asian, Progressive, and Women’s Caucuses.
