Employee Resource Group and Community Experience Lead
Microsoft
How did you get to where you are today?

I landed at Microsoft as a Senior Community Program Manager, and every day I get to create spaces where colleagues feel seen. Whether through employee resource groups or energizing global experiences, it totally lights me up. Before that? I was deep into storytelling, comms, and equity-driven strategy – building the toolkit that led me here. It’s been one joyful, intentional “yes” after another!

What are you most proud of?

One of the highlights of my career was co-authoring the NYC Department of Education Transgender & Gender Nonconforming Student Guidelines. It was all about creating safe, affirming school spaces. From honoring students’ pronouns to guiding staff on respectful practices, it showed me that powerful change happens when you blend passion, policy, and real-world care.

What advice would you give to someone who wants to work in your field?

Ready to build communities that thrive? Here’s my guide:

  • Listen with purpose. Your best ideas come from deep down in people’s shared stories.
  • Find your voice (and own it). Whether you’re writing a post or speaking on stage, your story is your superpower.
  • Champion diversity. Real community vibrates with different experiences – invite them all in.
  • Be bold and brave. Mix formats, experiment with hybrid events, push boundaries. And say yes to the next great idea (with a dance break 🌟).
When did you realize that you are a New Yorker?

It wasn’t one flash. It was thousands of little moments. That 7 AM subway sprint after a brainstorming all-nighter. Post-work pizza at midnight. Global calls at dawn. Navigating every quirk this city throws at you and loving every second of it. That city hustle, that never-sleeps energy became my rhythm. New York isn’t just where I live, it’s who I am.
